The Dogma of “Diversity” run Amok

Here’s a gem of a story as reported in American Thinker for those who worship at the altar of “Diversity”.
The article details the recent resignation of the head of one of the committees put in place by Duke's President shortly after the rape allegations were made against four white members of the school’s lacrosse team.
It appears that the University’s decision to readmit two of the four white students who were charged with raping the black exotic dancer was too much for Professor Holloway to bear:
“The decision by the university to readmit the students, especially just before a critical judicial decision on the case, is a clear use of corporate power, and a breach, I think, of ethical citizenship,” says Dr. Karla Holloway, the William R. Kenan Jr., Professor of English and Professor of Law at Duke. “I could no longer work in good faith with this breach of common trust.”
In her resignation letter, Holloway criticized the Duke administration for not coming to her defense, as attacks in the form of blogs and letters to the university newspaper have mounted in recent months.
“The public support [the administration] has extended to these students has been absent in regard to faculty who have been under constant and often vicious attack,” she wrote.
The article provides an excellent view into the surreal mind-set of the modern day American Academy, which long ago jettisoned disinterested scholarship as the basis of a classical liberal education, and in its place, substituted the proselytization of politically correct dogma, "diversity" and fringe studies.
Ann Coulter trains her sarcasm on this entire sordid affair.
One of the great scandals of the 21st century ought to be the thoroughly debased and worthless product that sky-high tuition purchases at our colleges and universities.
When are American parents going to wake up to this fraud?
