What Do Illegal Immigration, Elvira Allenaro and Pre-Teen Mischief Have in Common?

Nothing really, except this. Elvira Allenaro, the illegal immigrant who took sanctuary in a “church” in Chicago for the past year, after openly flouting our immigration laws, was finally arrested and deported (again). Her case is representative of federal and state law enforcement turning a blind eye to immigration scofflaws. This policy of supreme indifference has been aided and abetted by many politicians who have declared their municipalities as “sanctuary cities” in open defiance of federal immigration law.
As the recent execution of three New Jersey college students by a criminal alien from Peru, who had a long rap sheet demonstrates, many local officials won’t, or are prohibited from notifying ICE when they apprehend an illegal immigration who has committed a crime. Thus, it is no exaggeration to suggest, that for the past twenty years, respect for the law as it relates to enforcing the country’s immigration policy is nonexistent.
Now contrast this posture of laxity in enforcement of the law with the nightmarish scenario of the two twelve year old school boys in Oregon who were read their Miranda rights, taken from school in handcuffs where they spent five days in jail, and criminal charges of sexual harassment were brought against them by a local prosecutor who was hell bent on making a political statement about the evils of swatting girls on the butt. The mindless tenacity of the local law enforcement officials in this case is reminiscent of Victor Hugo’s Inspector Javert relentlessly hounding Jean Valjean for life.
After reviewing the Elvira Allenaro and the Oregon schoolboys cases, any reasonable person is bound to ask: What is wrong with this picture?
The Oregon case is an example of an idiotic attempt to criminalize mischievous pre-teen behavior; it would be almost comical if it wasn’t so frightening. The Oregon case is the inevitable and logical corollary of the country’s sexual harassment statutes, which were drafted by radical feminists intent on embodying and enshrining a political ideology into law.
Why would local prosecutors pursue the Oregon case with a vengeance, yet turn a blind eye to those like Elvira Allenaro, who openly, defiantly and with total impunity, violate our other laws?
