Durham D.A. Mike Nifong Disbarred; Civil Suit Against Duke University A Certainty

The rogue prosecutor cashiered for his misconduct.
No surprise here…
In light of Nifong’s disbarment, will the Duke faculty issue an apology for their inexcusable rush to judgment? Don’t hold your breath…
After all, there are larger issues at stake in the controversy besides the mere guilt or innocence of those unjustly and recklessly accused. For these retrograde Marxist ideologues masquerading as academics, “consciousness-raising” about the purported existence of rampant institutionalized inequality, class struggles and the existence of pervasive “racism”— unspecified and undocumented — was sufficient to justify their disgraceful conduct.
Now, let the civil suits begin with fury. The principal target? Duke University and its spineless President, Richard Brodhead, who for years enabled a deconstructionist, politically correct culture at the University sufficient with which to lynch the innocent lacrosse players and insure that their reputations would be irreparable damaged.
Another target-rich environment will be the infamous “Duke 88” faculty members who issued a scurrilous and libelous open letter to the Duke community which was printed in the local newspaper and disseminated nationwide. At first blush, it seems clear that the actions of these clowns were outside the scope of their employment as professors. As such, they may not be insulated from liability.
Even if they are found to be not liable to the innocent lacrosse players for libel, and malicious injury to their reputations, the spectacle of these proselytizers of “victimization”, “oppression” and “institutionalized racism” squirming and being hoisted on their own petards of injustice is simply too delicious to contemplate.
