The Antidote for Knee-Jerk Liberalism
Now that Democrat Deval Patrick has succeeded Republican Mitt Romney as Governor, it’s especially lonely being one of only a handful of Conservatives in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Politically, Massachusetts is a one-dimensional state. The Democratic Party dominates the political culture and liberalism is its guiding philosophy. Every single member of the Massachusetts congressional delegation is cut from the same basic ideological cloth, as are its two Senators.
Beacon Street Journal will offer commentary and perspective on national, international and local political issues from a conservative perspective as an alternative to the stifling Liberal Orthodoxy that reigns supreme, not only in the Bay State, but throughout the mainstream media. My goal is to deliver intelligent commentary and to have some fun.
In addition to the standard blog format, Beacon Street Journal will provide podcast segments (both audio and video) from time to time. Since I am a one-man show, the frequency of posting may vary. In order to view these videopodcasts (BSJ TV), you will need to download the latest version of the free QuickTime Player. Go to the Video Podcast (BSJ TV) page and click on the QuickTime link.
You may subscribe to the podcasts by clicking the button displayed on the podcast page of the blog. By subscribing, the latest version of the podcast will be automatically downloaded to your computer the next time your iTunes application is opened. You can download the free iTunes software here as well as by clicking on the iTunes icon on the BSJ TV page.
